How Long does it take to get to Whitehaven Beach?

If you’re thinking of visiting Whitehaven Beach, there are a number of ways to get you to this piece of heaven on earth and all leave from the gateway to the Whitsundays, Airlie Beach. From here, Whitehaven Beach is located 33km offshore on the eastern side of Whitsunday Island.
How long it takes to get to Whitehaven Beach will vary depending on whether you prefer to get there via sea or air, the tide and the weather conditions.
Day tours from Airlie Beach to Whitehaven by boat can take anywhere from 1 hour for high-speed vessels to approximately 2 hours for sailboats.
