ANGIE WALLACE - General Manager
What was once a casual gap year occupation has since turned into a driven and rewarding career for General Manager of The Mr Travel Group, Angie Wallace, who has resided in The Whitsundays since 2011. Born and bred in sunny Queensland, Angie is a stickler when it comes to offering quality customer service and always has new ideas to ensure things run smoothly for her clients.
Favourite holiday So Far: An extended 10-month road trip through Europe will be pretty hard to top.
Dream Holiday Destination: It changes every year. 2017's winners are India, Morocco and Egypt. I've had more than my fair share of islands in the last few years, so something completely different would have to be on the cards!
What do you love about your job: Staying ahead of the pack, and consistently reinventing the wheel to make life easier for our customers.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Every day feels like the weekend, and jeans are only required for around six weeks of the year.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Cheese platter on the beach in a camping chair with a few pals in the late afternoon.
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: Powerplay, my first love - It was the first overnight trip I did here! Can't beat the space, the type of travellers on board and of course the hot tub.

JAYME BATE - Senior Travel Consultant
Making the move from Canada to Australia, Jayme is a traveller at heart who fell in love with Airlie Beach and the tropical surroundings. Jayme has spent time as a hostess on the overnight sailing boats and has rejoined the Sailing-Whitsundays team as store manager.
Favourite holiday destination so far: Santorini, Greece. The food and views are hard to beat!
Dream holiday destination: I've always wanted to do an African Safari - definitely on the bucket list.
What you love about your job: Being able to find the perfect trip for someone. I love hearing what a great time they had.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Snorkeling on the reef with all the amazing fish and marine life, and all the different people from around the world that you get to meet from day to day.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Sit in the sun, enjoy a cold drink, and watch all the boats sail by!
Your favourite overnight sailing trip and why: Entice/On Ice Catamarans - they have great activities to enjoy and are perfect for just about any type of traveller.
If you had a million dollars: I would travel as much of the world as possible and enjoy all of the food and culture along the way!
LILY MERCIECA - Senior Travel Consultant and Content Administrator
A Whitsundays local and previous hostess on overnight sailing trips, Lily knows the area like the back of her hand! If she is not hard at work, you can usually find this tiny dancer at McDonald's.
Favourite holiday So Far: Solomon Islands - A little known and unspoilt paradise!
Dream Holiday Destination: A little beach front hut in Seychelles would be absolute bliss
What do you love about your job: Having grown up here I feel very passionately about giving visitors to the Whitsundays the best slice of paradise I was very lucky to grow up with.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Whitehaven Beach and turtles!
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: I love doing the hikes around the area and then cooling with a swim after! Followed by good food and good company at Anchor Bar.
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: Whitsunday Adventurer - I worked on her for a while. She's my baby!

JENNA BRANNAN - Travel Consultant
Jenna is originally from Manchester, England. Back in 2007 she got a 1-way ticket to Sydney and fell in love with Australia. The Whitsundays has been her home now for the last 4 years.
Favourite holiday So Far: was an epic 6 months travelling South America.
Dream Holiday Destination: The list is too long!
What do you love about your job: That I get to work in an industry I am passionate about.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: The relaxed vibe, the beautiful surrounds, the people and the fact that I can wear shorts and a t-shirt pretty much all year round, day and night!

If You Had a Million Dollars: I'd like to think I would wisely invest the majority of it but I know I I'd also want a good chunk to spend on travelling.
PEGGY BUT - Travel Consultant, Greater China
Driven by a passion for travel and the incredible nature, Peggy has moved to Airlie Beach from Hong Kong. With the ability to speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese, she is more than happy to share the best way to see the Whitsundays with travellers from all around the world!

KENZIE COLBOURNE - Content Administrator
Kenzie was born and raised in Canada, but after one visit to the Whitsundays, fell completely in love! Now working on the website, she's go-to when it comes to writing about all things Whitsundays!
Favourite holiday So Far: Australia of course! Coming from Canada, Australia was such an amazing change from home. With all the wonderful natural beauty, amazing people and great weather, what's not to love!
Dream Holiday Destination: Italy - food, wine, history, it's got it all!
What do you love about your job: I love the Whitsundays and this job allows me to write about them all day long. I get to research and develop content for such an amazing part of the world, which allows me to get to know them a little more everyday.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: I absolutely love the sea, and being here allows me to jump in and enjoy it anytime I want. Having the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in your backyard isn't so bad either!
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Snorkel and swim!
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: I love Adventurer because it has small group numbers, but also allows for a great place to meet new people. It's great for just relaxing and enjoy some quality time in the Whitsundays.

SAM CLAPHAM - Travel Consultant & Business Development Manager
As a Dive Instructor, Sam's work has allowed him to travel to some of the worlds best dive locations. After falling in love with the reef and islands of the Whitsundays, Sam quickly developed a passion for sailing. After graduating from the Whitsundays Maritime College as a Vessel Master and spent the past 5 years exploring the area onboard the Whitsunday Catamaran fleet.
Favourite holiday destination so far: Micronesia - Chuuk Lagoon, Home to the worlds biggest ship graveyard! A wreck divers dream!
Dream holiday destination: Vanuatu - Santo, Home to the SS President Coolidge Wreck Dive! (A divers bucket list never ends!)
What you love about your job: Our team - We are so lucky to have such an amazing group of local experts with a passion for sharing the Whitsundays with the world.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Everything! From the reefs to Whitehaven Beach, you just cant get sick of this place.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Getting out on the water; fishing, snorkelling and diving, sailing or jetskiing! Just get me out there!

If you had a million dollars: I owe my love of travel to my parents and would love to thank them with more family holidays.
BIANCA STOW - Travel Consultant
Growing up in Melbourne, Bianca visited the Whitsundays for a summer job. That was 6 years ago! After realising her love of the environment and travel, she couldn't think of a better way to combine the two and decided that the Whitsundays was the place to stay.
Favourite holiday So Far: 4 months backpacking in South-East Asia followed by a 2 year pit-stop in Europe! Doesn't get much better than that.
Dream Holiday Destination: All of them! But next on the list is the Northern Lights in Finland and the whale-shark aggregation in Isla Mujeres.
What do you love about your job: Sharing this slice of paradise with our customers, so they fall in love with the Whitsundays too.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Being in, on or by the water, especially if it's with my Whitsundays adopted family.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Watch the sunrise over Shute Harbour on a winter morning. There's nothing quite like it.
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: Anaconda. As a keen diver, Bait Reef is definitely a highlight in my diving log.
If You Had a Million Dollars: I would travel, obviously! But this time I would bring my beautiful family to share the experiences.
SARA PLUMMER - Travel Consultant
When Sara first boarded the plane from Sydney to Airlie Beach she only expected to stay for 6 months. Now, almost 5 years later, Sara feels more at home here than anywhere else in the world. Her love of the ocean, the environment and a great night out meant that Airlie Beach is a dream destination for her.
Favourite holiday So Far: Either the snowfields of Japan or road tripping around Ireland... or working in Portugal. Ahh, there's too many!
Dream Holiday Destination: Diving in the Galapagos is at the top of my bucket list.
What do you love about your job: Making people happy all over the world.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: The marine life. Nothing beats whale season in the Whitsundays.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Honeyeater Lookout hike for sunrise or sunset followed closely by a Sunday sesh at Shed Bar with my mates. Life is all about balance.
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: Solway Lass. So much history and beauty in one boat, plus they have a rope swing.
If You Had a Million Dollars: I would use it for those less fortunate and keep just enough for my friends/family and I to travel.
RYAN WAIT - Travel Consultant
South African born and bred, I ventured to the Whitsundays on a short holiday in 2010 and never left. I have a passion for travel and in particular outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, diving and fishing.
Favourite holiday destination so far: South East Asia (all of it so far), Diving -Tioman Island, Slow-Boat down the Mekong, Bike trip through Vietnam and Sunsets in Bagan. Got to love the Banana Pancake trail.
Dream holiday destination: At the moment the dream is a South American road trip, with a lot of diving and fishing on the cards. Hopefully some cave diving in Mexico, followed by a visit to Peru, Brazil and Ecuador.
What you love about your job: Working with a great team that are passionate about travel (in particular the east coast of Australia) and an amazing customer experience, all while enjoying the nomadic lifestyle I have come to love.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Waking up on the crack of dawn while at anchor to whale songs which can be heard below deck and sticking my head out the cabin to find it's a glass sea outside.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: When not being out on the water it would be enjoying a few beers with mates exchanging fishing stories or going on any one of the hiking trails that can be found around Shute Harbour.
Your favourite overnight sailing trip and why: Kiana - As an avid diver and big fan of the Outer Reef, this tour delivers it all for me. Sailing in a small group, visiting the best spots around Hook and Hayman Island, Hill Inlet and still being able to enjoy some diving and snorkelling out at Bait Reef all in one trip.
If you had a million dollars: I would like to say I would head to the Casino and put it all on black - but this would not be the case unfortunately! I would be taking the boring route and be investing in a diversified portfolio with the aim to double the money in 15 years, if I achieve this then an extravagant holiday would be on the cards.
EMILY PLUMMER - Travel Consultant
Emily's desire to travel landed her on a Holiday to Airlie Beach, by the second day she had made plans to call this place home and landed a job as a host/deckhand sailing around the Whitsunday Islands. Emily combines her passion for travel and her love for the Whitsundays in her new job and spends time ensuring her customers receive the best experience possible.
Favourite holiday so far: I'll always cherish the 3 weeks I spent in a Cambodian orphanage but a whole year spent travelling around Europe was pretty amazing also!
Dream holiday destination: The Bahamas and The Maldives have been a dream since I was a little girl. Anywhere with the sun and the sea, please!

Favourite things to do in Airlie Beach: Day trips to Hydeaway Bay and Cedar Creek falls or Sunday sessions at Shed Bar with some of the greatest people you will ever meet - the locals!
Favourite Overnight sailing trip: Atlantic Clipper is too much fun.
If you had a million dollars: I would drag my friends and family around the world with me!
DYLAN GARRITY - Travel Consultant
Born and raised in the states, Dylan made the decision to study abroad to explore the world outside of her small hometown. Within an instant she fell in love with this beautiful country and Australia has become her second home.
Favourite holiday hard to choose - each holiday has been so amazing and unique itself, it's too difficult to choose just one!
Dream holiday destination - I would love to be able to visit every continent during my lifetime!
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: I love the community in the area, it's like a big family! And of course, love being out on the water and being able to snorkel and swim with wildlife.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie - explore every nook and cranny this beautiful place has to offer!
Favourite overnight sailing trip - On Ice - I personally love catamarans and the small numbers. Super comfortable as well :)
If I had a million dollars - I would book flights around the world, stay at cheap hostels and donate the rest.
BEN CRISP - Digital Marketing Co-Ordinator and Videographer
After travelling around the world (twice), working in the film industry in Dubai and launching a travel start-up, Ben landed firmly in a dream job in Airlie Beach, quickly becoming our go-to for content creation and digital marketing. We often lose Ben for week-long adventures chasing amazing content, though nothing could keep him from away from having the world's most beautiful beach in his backyard.
Favourite holiday So Far: Spearfishing mission to Samoa with the boys from Back to Basics, without a doubt some of the clearest/ deepest water and nicest local people I've ever encountered.
Dream Holiday Destination: Alaska - Just because it contrasts my usual island life. Having spent a lot of time in Northern Canada, absolutely falling in love with the big mountain snowboarding, Alaska is the final frontier.
What do you love about your job: Being able to experience more tours than anyone in town, shooting all of the best boats/scenic flights, meeting the epic crew members of the Whitsundays made it easy to meet all of the legends in the industry really quickly.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Just how much potential for adventure there is here, with 74 islands to explore you'd be hard pressed to run out of new experiences... for example, I still have 62 Islands on the list!
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: The hikes around town!!! There are so many hidden trails and look-outs on the mainland. In the year I've been here I still have more to discover.
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: New Horizon, because it is a beautiful boat to shoot, plus I'm a bit of a pirate so this boat is my dreamboat. Plus with heaps of space, it is the perfect mix of chill and party, overall it is just an epic trip.
If You Had a Million Dollars: Probably continue to do what I do, creating is what gets me up in the mornings, I love my job so it would just make my weeks off a lot further away.
JONO PRESS - Photographer and Videographer
Jono hails from New Zealand but moved to the beautiful Whitsundays to become a dive instructor a few years ago. Before coming here, he used to work as a Marine Biologist working mainly with Fairy Penguins in Northern New Zealand. He's spent a lot of time on the water since arriving in this beautiful part of Australia, and now is the newest addition to our content team!
Favourite holiday So Far: Hanoi, Vietnam. Never in my life have I seen such a chaotic yet perfectly functioning city as Hanoi. The fusion of never-ending traffic, street music, cart food, open mic tattoo parlours, midnight markets and roadside beers was just epic.
Dream Holiday Destination: Tonga. So much to experience and photograph. Coral reef, surf, coconuts, seafood, island living. Humpback whales migrate to the island group of Vava'u in the middle of the year which is also a bucket list dream of mine to film.
What do you love about your job: I get to be creative.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: The people it attracts. The Whitsundays draws people that enjoy an outdoor, positive and community-based life form all over the globe which makes for an awesome place to come home to after being out on the water. You can barely walk down the street without having a conversation with at least 3 people.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Honey Eater Lookout for the sunset.

If You Had a Million Dollars: Buy myself an epic house on the water, fill it with a few dogs and invest the rest in friends and families businesses.
OLIVIA HAY - Travel Consultant
Olivia grew up sailing in New Zealand. The tropical climate and desire to work in the marine tourism industry brought her to the Whitsundays. While she planned to work in the area for just 6 months, nearly 10 years later she still calls the Whitsundays home! During this time she has worked in all aspects of the local tourism industry. She spent over 5 years crewing on live-aboard vessels. Recently she has been working in reservations and sales. She has a wealth of local knowledge and is passionate about sharing her little slice of paradise with visitors from all over the world.
Favourite holiday So Far: The Whitsundays! Arrived nearly 10 years ago for a working holiday and fell in love with the area.
Dream Holiday Destination: Alaska as I would love to see the Northern Lights.
What do you love about your job: Making peoples holiday dreams a reality and working with such a vibrant and supportive team.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: Everything! The reef and wildlife - particularly during the humpback whale migration from July - September. The climate, friendly people and the relaxed lifestyle.
Favourite thing to do in Airlie Beach: Sailing! It's what drew me to the area and keeps me here.
Favourite Overnight Sailing Trip and Why: Any of the maxi 2 day/2 night adventure sailing tours. Nothing beats the thrill of an ocean-going maxi racing yacht under sail. You've got to experience it! Though, I crewed on British Defender for 5 years, so she holds a special place in my heart.
If You Had a Million Dollars: The dream - Buy a live-aboard yacht and show my son the world. Though realistically, I would probably invest, and buy a little slice of paradise.
EMILY PETERS - Travel Consultant
Originally from Maitland, New South Wales, Emily (more commonly known as Pete) has been living in the Whitsundays for over 6 years and is addicted to the endless sunshine and laid-back lifestyle! Emily gets out on the water every chance she gets, making the most of our incredible backyard and scuba diving in her free time.
Favourite holiday So Far: Greek Islands as a kid, all the ice cream and no responsibilities!

Growing up in country Victoria, Kate always wanted to live by the beach. After a few years travelling around, she landed Airlie Beach and found a job as a tour guide and deckhand and fell in love with this beautiful part of the world and all the amazing people that live here!
Favourite holiday So Far: Hard to decide between Machu Picchu, travelling around Europe in a campervan and an amazing two weeks in Iceland.
Dream Holiday Destination: Too many to choose from but the Galapagos Islands have always been on my list.
What do you love about your job: Helping other people plan their dream holidays in this amazing part of the world that I am lucky enough to call home.
What do you love most about the Whitsundays: The weather! Also snorkelling at Mackeral Bay is definitely a highlight.

If You Had a Million Dollars: I would buy a house, so I have somewhere to come home to and then travel the world.
