Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I store my luggage?
We don't recommend taking large bags or suitcases on Powerplay. However, we offer luggage storage for as little as $10 a day in our Travel Shop which is located at the top of Airlie Beach's main street. The address is 344 Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach, QLD, 4802.
How do I find the meeting point for Powerplay?
Powerplay departs from the North End of Coral Sea Marina (meeting point B) under the umbrellas. If you head towards Sorrento's bar, then you're pretty much in the right place.
Do you cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free diets, etc?
Yes, however, if you do have dietary requirements, there will be an additional charge of $10 per day. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any dietary requirements and the crew will do their best to accommodate.
Can I come on Powerplay if I can't swim?
This is decided on a case-by-case basis, and would need to be discussed at the time of booking
Do you supply snorkelling equipment?
Yes, snorkelling gear including masks, snorkels and stingersuits are provided (no fins).
Can I bring alcohol on board?
Yes, you are able to bring your own alcohol but you cannot bring glass or red wine. You also cannot bring excessive amounts of alcohol - the absolute maximum is 24 cans of beer (preferably lite), one box of wine, or 1/2 bottle of spirits per person.
Is this tour child friendly?
No, unfortunately this isn't a child friendly tour. Powerplay is strictly 16 years and above.
Are the cabins air-conditioned?
Yes, the private cabins are air-conditioned.
Is there a shower on board?
Yes, there are two bathrooms and hot showers.
Can you smoke on board?
Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
Can I charge my phone on board?
Yes, there are charging ports in the main saloon.
What is the minimum age for travelling on this trip?
The minimum age for Powerplay is 16. Please note that the recommended age group is for those aged 16-45.
What are marine blue lights?
Blue lights are used to attract more fish to come near the boat
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
Powerplay is not wheelchair accessible
Which snorkelling spots may we visit on Powerplay?
Spots often visited include Luncheon Bay, Mantaray Bay, Cockatoo Point, Mackerel Bay amongst others
How many people can fit in the hot tub?
Up to 6 people at one time
Is it safe to use the hot tub whilst pregnant?
It is not safe to use the hot tub during pregnancy
Is there WIFI on board?
Yes, there is Wifi onboard!
Are towels provided on board?
Towels are provided, however guests are welcome to bring their own if preferred
How much do soft drinks cost?
$3
What type of bags are allowed on Powerplay?
Due to limited space, please just bring a small-medium sized overnight bag. Any larger bags or suitcases an be stored at The Travel Shop
Is there a parking facility available?
Parking is available at Coral Sea Marina, daily rates apply
What shoes are most practical to wear?
Everyone is required to be barefoot whilst on the boat, however for the hike to Hill Inlet, it's recommended to wear trainers/crocs/sandals/thongs
Is there a limit to how much alcohol I can bring on board?
Yes, 24 cans, one box of wine or half a bottle of spirit per person
Are there any types of alcohol that aren't permitted on board?
Red wine is the only alcohol not permitted on Powerplay
Which days does Powerplay depart?
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

We had an amazing time, we are an older couple but from the moment we met the skipper and hostie we felt comfortable & welcomed on board. Nothing was too much trouble and we were kept informed every step of the way. The skipper had a very good sense of humour & the hostie very good at her meal prep.

There were plenty of food & snacks available on the trip.
Due to the weather, the water was a bit murky when we went snorkeling, but Chris (skipper) really tried to give us a great experience.
Our group was of mixed ages, however it never felt awkward.

Crew and captain were lovely and extremely knowledgeable. Perfect amount of time to explore the islands and get in a number of the sites. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area. Possible improvements would be the food and having a few more activity options e.g. fishing of an evening.

Our experience was amazing! Loved the beach stop and the snorkel spots. Our crew was very helpful and full of information. They were also very enthusiastic about each stop even though I imagine they stop there a ton. The weather wasn't great but still had a great time.

This trip has been one of the best tours I have been on. Steph and Jordy made the entire trip enjoyable and they mixed safety with fun. They were accommodating and and ensured we were always having a great time. Ed was really knowledgeable in where to take us and made sure we were all comfortable. All 3 of the crew worked really well together. The boat is great and the spa was awesome fun! We were never hungry and always having fun. The perfect combo!

We had a 2 day 2 night tour on the catamaran Powerplay, we had an awesome time with skipper Jimmy and hosts goldie and Caroline! They made this trip a memorable one. We have been to multiple snorkelling spots, some with very nice coral reefs and other spots with all kinds of sea life, very big fish with many colours. You can also take a kayak or paddleboard to explore the anchor spots.

Adrain, Tila and Camille were great! They took us to some fantastic spots, made some great meals and took very well care of us. They made sure we enjoyed our holiday and didn't let us do any if the work, even when we insisted on helping. It was a great experience! Bonus points for spotting Humpback Whales!

I had a great trip on Powerplay! The whole crew was kind & very welcoming. This was my first time on an overnight cruise & I was more then happy with the experience. As a solo traveler I was sleeping in the main area. The beds were comfy with lots of room.

Jumping on a Powerplay tour was the best decision I've made in a long time. Both our host, Tori and Skipper, Wazza, worked around the clock to provide an epic tour. From getting us to Whitehaven Beach early so we beat the crowds to serving up round after round of amazing food - it is an incredible operation. If you're struggling to pick a boat in the Whitsundays- I highly recommend Powerplay. I will be back!!

Captain Adrian, Goldie and Mila did well to Provide a related, chilled and fun environment, very much engaging with the people on the boat. Lunch and dinner were delicious with plenty for everyone. Got a chance to swim with turtles as well which was a welcoming surprise.

I've enjoyed every single moment on this boat. because they let you have the time to do all the activities without stressing you out. We had a 2 day 2 night tour on The catamaran Powerplay, we had an awesome time with skipper Jimmy and Hosts goldie and Caroline! They Made this trip a memorable one. We have been to multiple snorkling spots Some with very Nice coral reefs and other spots with all kinds of sea life very big fish with many colors.If you are not such a Swinner you can take a kayak or paddle board to explore The anchor spots.

We went on the two night trip on Powerplay and would definitely recommend. We had an excellent group of people and Tor, Jimmy and Adrian made sure we had everything we needed, including games in the evening to get everyone having fun! The food was lovely and we were given plenty to eat throughout the day. We swam with stingrays on Whitehaven and spent plenty of time snorkelling and we even saw TURTLES! I wouldn't change a thing, it was perfect, thanks guys!

Best two days of my life. The POWERPLAY boat was perfect and although it may look small and there are 18 people on it I never felt like I was crowded. Chad and Wazza made the experience amazing and would highly recommend them to anyone going on this trip. The food was delicious and there was plenty for even seconds most meals. You never went hungry! The two snorkeling spots we went to were unbelievable one that focused on the local beautiful fish and one all about the coral. Airlie Beach where the boat leaves from is a cute little beach town with everything you need! You get your moneys worth for this trip! Love my powerplay fam!

We choose the boat called Powerplay after chatting with a very friendly woman online. And it was the best decision we could have made. Tom, Goldie and Chad did such a great job. We enjoyed going snorkelling and stand-up paddling. With Chad we went to white heaven beach just at the perfect time, we had the beach on our own. Many thanks to the crew, it was a blast and just amazing with you guys.
