What To Expect on a 2 Day/ 2 Night Trip

What does the usual 2 day, 2 night trip itinerary include?

As our travel consultants will tell you, every 2 day, 2 night trip sailing trip is different as each destination depends of the weather conditions and tidal movements.

Though no trip itinerary is set in stone, your crew will endeavour to visit Whitehaven Beach where you will spend around 3-4 hours on the beach, followed by a guided bushwalk to Hill Inlet Lookout. Whitehaven Beach is one of the most famous in the world, with pure white silica sands, long stretches of beach, and stunning coves and inlets. The shallows are peppered with stingrays and baby sharks, which spend their youth there. Hill Inlet Lookout overlooks the whole area and is accompanied by a short bushwalk, where guests can enjoy the beauty of Whitsunday Island's native flora and fauna.

Throughout the remainder of the sailing trip, you can expects to stop at around 2-3 different snorkel locations, with plenty of sailing and swimming in between. Exactly which reefs you will visit will depend on the tides and where you captain decides is best for your tour. When snorkelling, you'll get to enjoy the beautiful marine life up close and understand the beauty of the fringing reefs in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Some 2 day, 2 night tours also offer scuba diving, where guests can either meet up with the rendezvous vessel or dive straight off their boat.

Guests can also enjoy plenty of cruising time, either by engine or by sail, and enjoy the beautiful sights in the Whitsundays. The green, tropical islands make for the perfect backdrop as you relax and enjoy the ocean breeze. Sail boats will allow for guests to experience authentic sailing as the boat leans into the winds, while relaxing catamarans allow for guests to lay down and enjoy the sun as you cruise along - some boats are big with plenty of passengers and some are small and much more intimate.
