From Tongue Bay, on the northern side of Whitsunday Island, it is a short 250-metre walk to Whitehaven Beach along the Beach Track. In the middle of this pathway is a track junction, where visitors can choose to veer off to the 700-metre Hill Inlet Track.
Tongue Bay is the most common starting point for boat tours, as the waters here are deep and accessible for a wide range of boats and yachts. Your boat will moor in the bay and then shuttle passengers to Whitsunday Island on a tender.
