There’s already a buzz around the Whitsundays now that the Airlie Beach Festival of Music 2025 is right around the corner! This fun-filled weekend is perhaps the most beloved event in Airlie Beach with over 50 artists lined up to perform on stages scattered throughout the beautiful beach town. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the festival!
Airlie Beach Festival of Music 2025
Each year, the Airlie Beach Festival of Music transforms Airlie Beach into an electrifying, town-wide party. Iconic performers and rising music stars will be taking over local bars and restaurants, as well as a purpose-built Main Stage, all weekend. Performances will start as early as 9am and keep rocking well into the night. To make sure you get to enjoy as much of the festival as possible, there’ll be food and beverage vendors galore, keeping your energy levels high! Music-lovers travel from far and wide to get involved in the excitement, staying in local Airlie Beach accommodation - whether it’s a luxury resort, a holiday apartment, a hostel, or a caravan park - to make sure they get the very best out of this annual festival.

Pete Murray - A multi-platinum singer-songwriter who has had three consecutive albums top the Australian music charts. You may know him best for hits like 'So Beautiful', 'Better Days', and 'Feeler'.

Since then, Jessica has gone on to become one of Australia's most successful female artists. The Screaming Jets - Hard rock band The Screaming Jets are headed to Airlie Beach to rock the house with hits like 'Better', 'October Grey', and 'Helping Hand'.

Diesel - You may know him simply as Diesel, or as the frontman for Johnny Diesel & the Injectors. Either way, this multi-award-winning rock and blues singer-songwriter will also be taking to the Airlie Beach stage!
Passport to Airlie
Among the heaps of established artists playing Airlie Beach Festival of Music will be some rising stars who are hoping to win the Passport to Airlie - a launchpad for Australia's next generation of live music legends!
The winning act from each region will be treated to an unforgettable festival experience! As well as taking their music to a national stage, they'll each receive four nights of accommodation, $1,000 in prize money, and VIP Airlie Beach Festival of Music tickets. The ultimate winner will secure a spot on the main stage line-up at next year’s festival.
Last year's winner was Tom Neilson from the Sunshine Coast, who you can catch at this year's festival!
Event Details
Location: You'll find the festival Main Stage at Whitsunday Sailing Club. Other Main Street venues participating in the festival include: Anchor Bar, Boaty's, Beaches, Colonial Palms, Elementa, Magnums, KC's Bar and Grill, Lola's Bar, Treehouse, Paradiso, Sorrento's, Whitsunday Food Garden, Northerlies, Club Whitsunday, and Boom Nightclub.
Date: 7-9 November
Times: Friday 7th from 4pm until late, Saturday 8th from 5pm until late, Sunday 9th from 2pm until late
What else is on?: On Monday, after the festival wraps up, Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill will be hosting an afterparty from 1pm to 6pm! Airlie Beach Festival Of Music Tickets
At the time of writing, tickets to the music festival are still available to buy on the Airlie Beach Festival of Music website. The first few waves of tickets have already sold out, so if you're planning to attend, it's your last chance to grab tickets!
Different tickets are available to purchase, depending on whether you would prefer a 3-day pass, a 1 day pass, or a VIP ticket. Provided this event doesn’t sell out, there will also be tickets available to purchase at the gate.
When you buy your ticket, you will receive an email with your booking details. This email must be presented at the ticket office at the Whitsunday Sailing Club to get your festival wristband.
1 Day Pass
If you’re not able to join in the fun for a full weekend, there are single day passes available for purchase now. If not sold out, they will also be available to buy at the gate for a slightly higher price.

2 Day Pass
A 2-day pass gets you access to the festival on either Friday and Saturday (with welcome party access), or on Saturday and Sunday (with after party access)!

3 Day Pass
If you purchase a 3 day pass, you’ll be covered for entry to all festival venues for the entire weekend, including the official welcome party and the after party at Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill.

VIP Pass
With a VIP pass, you’ll get access to the ocean-front VIP area, complete with an exclusive bar and toilet facilities, a food and drinks package, and entry to all main street venues across the festival, as well as the welcome party and after party.
At the time of writing, all VIP tickets have been sold out.
Important Information about the festival
Under 18’s cannot buy weekend tickets to the Airlie Beach Festival of Music and are not permitted into the main tent area. There will be a number of main street venues participating in the festival that allow minors to enter.
There is no need to bring folding chairs to the festival, as seating will be provided under the main tent area. The festival will also be kitted out with priority seating areas, wheelchair ramps, and friendly volunteers for any festival-goers’ accessibility needs.
There is no designated parking provided by event organisers. Airlie Beach Festival of Music recommends keeping your car at your accommodation and taking advantage of their free bus transfer service.
How to get to Airlie Beach

Once you’ve made it to Airlie, you’ll be able to get to the festival by strolling into town, or availing of the free transport options. Festival goers will be able to avail of any Whitsunday Transit buses free-of-charge by simply showing their official wristband. There will also be a special shuttle bus service running between the Sailing Club, Airlie Beach’s Main Street, and the festival’s accommodation partners. Shuttles will run from the following times:
Friday: 11:30am to 7:00pm, 10:00pm to 1:00am
Saturday: 10:30am to 7:00pm, 10:00pm to 1:00am
Sunday: 09:30am to 11:00pm
