5.   Hydeaway Bay Caravan and Camping Park

Located in a serene bush setting Hydeaway Bay Park is just a 5-minute walk to the secluded beachfront, creating a perfect getaway for east coast travellers looking to get off the beaten track!

From wallabies to kangaroos, there is a plethora of wildlife that calls the park home. Restrained pets however are welcome in the park!

Hydeaway Bay Caravan and Camping Park offer both unpowered and powered sites for vans and campers, starting from $34 per night. The quiet bush setting park has an onsite kiosk with ice, hot water, cold drinks, bait, and basic grocery supplies offered, in addition to a coin-operated laundry and BBQ camp kitchen.


6.   Proserpine 48 hour RV Park

Proserpine, located a 25-minute drive southwest from Airlie Beach, is home to art-deco inspired buildings, charming country pubs, and a free RV park for travellers and nomads to enjoy! No permit is required to stay, however, time is limited to 48 hours. The ideal accommodation for those on an east coast trip, with a low-cost budget - save on accommodation, and have more in your pocket for Whitsunday Islands adventures!

The Proserpine 48 hours RV Park is located adjacent to St Catherine’s Church in Proserpine Main Street, opposite Pioneer Park. There is no showers and power at the park, hence only fully self-contained vehicles are allowed to enter. Public toilets are available across the road at Pioneer Park. Pets are allowed in the Prosperine RV Park on a leash.

Note that the Proserpine 48 hours RV Park is temporarily closed annually during the wet season (approx. 1 December - 31 March).


7.   NRMA Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park

NRMA Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park offers regular and beachfront caravan sites, both of which are powered, in addition to seaside cabins and villas. The park welcomes pets in the low season only, with a limit of two dogs per site. Laundry facilities, wifi, a fully equipped camp kitchen, kiosk, and shaded BBQ areas are available onsite.
