Sailing Whitsundays is seeking two yacht hosts to join our team and work on luxury overnight vessels in the Whitsundays.
The Position
Full-time boat host/deckhand, based in Airlie Beach.
Sailing Whitsundays is looking for friendly, well-presented and adventure-loving team members who have incredible attention to detail and can curate seamless, unforgettable experiences for our guests, every time.
After learning the ropes and getting first-hand experience hosting tours at sea, the right person can move into online retail travel sales. With ample opportunity for career growth and flexibility, this prospective sales position can eventually be done remotely, from any location!
Currently, this career move is open to those based in Queensland, and previous boating and sales experience is preferred.
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a yacht host and deckhand will include assisted deck work, food and drink preparation, table setting, service, cleaning, entertaining guests, guiding walks, crew support. Flexibility, adaptability and enthusiasm to learn new skills and help out wherever you can are important traits for the right candidates.
As an online travel consultant, you will be required to work closely with our customers, respond to online chats, phone calls and emails, communicate eloquently and effectively, design personalised travel itineraries and implement sales strategies and local knowledge. Personality and flair in this online position make the world of difference, so we're looking for vibrant individuals... not robots!
