Sidewalk Cafe

Sidewalk Cafe is undeniably one of our favourite spots in Airlie Beach for a cup of fantastic coffee in a jif! With an eclectic dine-in atmosphere or quick takeaway service with a smile, this local joint is the perfect place to get caffeinated. Our team tend to go for a creamy cappuccino, a comforting dirty chai, or a refreshing iced latte. If you're not feeling your usual coffee order, why not opt for one of their homemade smoothies for your fill of energy? The chefs at Sidewalk bake up fresh scones and muffins every morning, which are never twice the same, but always bursting with taste sensations.  Located on the Airlie Esplanade, Sidewalk Cafe is right in the middle of town and bustling with god-send baristas who know how to make your morning cup of joe just right!

Garuma Cafe & Bar

Nestled in the centre of town, Garuma is a brilliant choice for a morning cup of joe while you’re in Airlie Beach, and a popular spot among our team of travel experts! Slinging smooth, delicious and consistent cups of barista-made Piazza D’oro coffee, you can’t go wrong with a visit to this open and atmospheric cafe. You can find Garuma at the top of Shute Harbour Road, right next door to The Travel Shop. Open at 6 am, even early risers can get their mitts on a coffee before the rest of the world wakes up! If you’re hungry, grab a loaded smashed avo on toast for breaky to go alongside your flat white, or hang around for a selection of fabulous lunch options from mid-morning. In a rush? Make a bee-line for Garuma's takeaway counter for a coffee on the go, as well as a selection of fresh pastries and baked treats!

La Tabella Trattoria 

For a smooth afternoon brew, wander on down to La Tabella to soak up the waterfront views, chic Italian atmosphere and impeccably extracted cups of coffee! Using the ever-popular Toby’s Estate beans, the baristas at La Tabella know exactly how to make your favourite coffee to perfection. Tucked away between trendy restaurants on the dreamy Airlie Esplanade, this central and elegant trattoria is a great spot for an afternoon pick-me-up or a post-dinner cafe latte. Sit down with your cup of joe and watch the world go by, or order it to take away And, if you are staying for dinner, you won’t want to miss the truffle-infused linguini… it has us doing literal chef kisses every time!

Paradiso Rooftop Restaurant 

While mostly known for their divine cocktails and tapas, we just can’t get enough of the coffee from Paradiso! Open from 8 am till late, this chic joint has a warm ambience, making it a brilliant choice for a relaxed catch-up over a fantastic cup of coffee! Paradiso is also a perfect choice for families and kids, as it overlooks the waterfront fairy park playground, so you can enjoy your latte while watching the little critters having fun in a safe environment. We'll warn you now, though: if you're sitting in for coffee, you'll find it hard to resist their mouth-watering breakfast menu, whether it's their homemade waffles or the hearty captain's breakfast.

The Deck

Located right on Airlie Main Street, The Deck is your one-stop shop for a delectable breakfast, lunch and dinner… not to mention they know how to make a killer coffee. With a chic interior, the Deck provides the perfect vibes for any occasion, whether that be a quick coffee catch-up or a three-course meal topped off with a cappuccino, you’ll surely be impressed by this trendy joint! Located on Main St, looking over Airlie Creek, The Deck is a staff favourite for some of the best coffee in town. The lovely team at The Deck can also whip you up a fresh, fruity smoothie, a decadent choccie frappe or even a cheeky afternoon cocktail, quenching all kinds of thirsts!

Bohemian Raw

Sitting right on the Coral Sea Marina, Bohemian Raw is a dreamy, fresh cafe bursting with friendly service, quality ingredients and most importantly, some of the best coffee in Airlie. They use Proud Mary Coffee’s ‘Humbler’ blend which features chocolate fudge, caramel and syrupy notes to make for a delicious cup of joe every single time. The Kiosk Cafe

A hidden gem found at the northern end of the charming Coral Sea Marina, the Kiosk Cafe is a wonderful little joint for a creamy morning coffee! Grab a takeaway to-go, or dine in and gaze out at the array of luxury yachts, sleek catamarans and adventure rafts that dock at the marina! With an array of simple, quality and tasty breakfast options such as smashed avo and eggs benny, the Kiosk Cafe ticks all of the boxes and more. A favourite amongst local boat owners, the Kiosk is home to the so-called “table of knowledge,” and has seen conversations between avid Whitsunday sailors for longer than some of us care to admit! Wisdom Cafe is a hidden gem right in the middle of Airlie Beach that many unfortunately miss when they're on the hunt for quality local coffee. Nestled in between Beach Book Boutique and Harry's Corner Cafe, just a stone's throw from the Lagoon, Wisdom Cafe is a non-negotiable coffee stop during your Airlie Beach visit. All food is made in-store every day, so whether you fancy a bacon and egg muffin or a smoothie bowl, you can rest assured that you're getting the freshest food with your cup of joe. On a sunny day, sit outside on their comfy sofas while you sip on your flat white. Or take your joe to go and stroll down to the lagoon!

Slinging cups of delicious Campos coffee on the daily, Fat Frog Cafe is definitely worth the 3-minute drive out of Airlie Beach to Cannonvale. Perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch, or just a takeaway coffee to start your day, the team at Fat Frog are bound to put a smile on your face! Don’t forget to grab your four-legged friend a tasty dog treat at this particularly dog-friendly spot. With their own, unique Airlie Beach Treehouse coffee blend, it’s no wonder that this quirky joint is one of our staple caffeination stations. The Airlie Beach Treehouse blend is created in collaboration with Primal Coffee Roasters, and we just can’t stop sipping on their almond piccolos. The team at Treehouse are huge dog-lovers, and make every effort to provide a pooch-friendly venue, as well as providing your furry pals with lots of love and pats! Hang around for dreamy lagoon views and let the tropical scenes combine with the rich coffee aromas coming from behind the machine.

Le Shack

Nestled in between two iconic Airlie pubs, Magnums and Beaches, Le Shack offers a quality, humble selection of coffees, iced beverages and specialised drops like yerba mate and kombucha. A relatively fresh cafe on the Airlie Beach scene, this coffee joint is absolutely worth checking out! A cosy vibe awaits you inside, with air-conditioning and simple, beachy decor.
