The menu has been designed to cater to most dietary requirements including complimentary vegetarian options. Please note that vegan and halal diets are unable to be catered for.
Is snorkelling gear provided?
Yes, you will be given a snorkelling mask, snorkel and a lycra/wetsuit.
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age for Thundercat is 2 years.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Yes, you are welcome to BYO alcohol and place cans in the esky onboard. Please note, no red wine or glass is allowed on the vessel. There is no alcohol for sale onboard, so guests wishing to drink are required to bring their own.
How many people are onboard?
Thundercat has a maximum capacity of 38 passengers and 2 crew members onboard.
Will I get seasick?
Thundercat is a catamaran, offering more stability than a monohull vessel. Nevertheless, if you're prone to sickness, it is recommended that you take travel sickness medication prior to boarding according to the instructions.
Where can I store my bags?
If you have extra luggage, you can store it at the Airlie Beach Bag Storage shop! With the best rates and most secure facilities in town, the whole experience is a breeze!
Do I need travel insurance?
To protect yourself from cancellation costs due to illness, injury, delays, weather, natural disasters and other issues, it is strongly recommended to have travel insurance. Sailing Whitsundays is not responsible for any costs incurred due to such cancellations and issues.
Can I go on Thundercat if I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant, you will be required to sign a specific waiver before travel. If you have been approved by a doctor for this type of adventure activity, and are in your second trimester, this day trip is generally suitable for you.
Please note that if you are in your first or third trimester, we will be required to obtain a doctor’s certificate permitting this type of activity before travelling. Finally, the skipper is entitled to deny travel to any guests who are deemed unsafe for travel due to conditions on the day.
