The Abell Point Yacht Club
Abell Point Yacht Club (APYC) may be a long-been established group in the Whitsundays, but in recent times, it has undergone a bit of a makeover and taken on a new direction as a united group. Deciding to branch out and include power boats within their fleet of usual sailors has become a new feature of the club, increasing membership and branching out to the wider boating community.
With a new committee onboard and with a focus on fellowship, the club has organised upcoming events to reflect its historical racing program, which includes the historical Coral Coast Rally and Warri Cup. The club will now run other casual events for members such as beer and burger nights, marina barbecue as well as a Whitehaven Beach white in night and a Knuckle Reef Cocktail Function.
The Abell Point Yacht Club is a separate club to the Whitsunday Sailing Club.
