Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill is a beloved Airlie Beach spot year-round, and New Year's Eve is certainly no exception. Every year, Northerlies pull out all the stops to make NYE spectacular. Think food trucks and fireworks, a beach stage and a range of outdoor bars, live bands and a DJ, and even a photo booth to take home a keepsake from the festivities. Plus, bar and grill will still be running their courtesy bus service, so there's no need to worry about designated drivers, taxis, or long walks home. Spend your NYE evening out on the water with a glass of bubbly in-hand. Popular sunset sailing boat Sundowner is running a special New Year's Eve Fireworks Cruise this year. The family-friendly tour will depart the Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach at 7:30pm and spend two hours out on the Whitsunday waters. Not only will guests be treated to the best view of the foreshore fireworks display, but they'll have access to a fully-licensed bar on-board, complete with good music, a fun crew, and a lively atmosphere.

NYE Fireworks Sail On Camira
On the other side of Airlie Beach, departing from the Port of Airlie, Camira will also be heading out to sea for a three-hour sunset sail. The purple catamaran will whisk gets through Pioneer Bay for the last sunset of the year before cruising out to Airlie's Foreshore for the early fireworks. This year for New Year's Eve, they'll be hosting the Australian INXS Show - a fully immersive, 6-piece INXS tribute act.
