If it’s your first time heading to Airlie Beach, one of the places you definitely shouldn’t miss out on is the Airlie Beach markets which are open every Saturday from 7 AM - 1 PM. Here, you can find all sorts of handmade crafts, souvenirs, great food and fruits and vegetables!

Set up by the locals every Saturday, the Airlie Beach market showcases the local and vibrant spirit of Airlie Beach. And after days of action-packed adventures, you’re definitely going to want to bring some gifts and little precious items that take you back to your wonderful getaway spent at Airlie Beach!

Where is the Airlie Beach Market?

The market is conveniently set up on the foreshore on the Airlie Esplanade, across from the Airlie Beach Hotel. It’s set against calm waters, palm trees and in the heart of the bustling town. So, grab your bags, chuck on your sunnies and meander through these charming markets on the weekend!

There's also a kids' playground neighbouring the markets to keep the kiddies busy and entertained on your morning in paradise!

Does the Airlie Beach Market Open on Other Days?

Visitors who come through Airlie on Cruise Ships get very special treatment from the locals. A wide variety of stalls that serve fresh goodies and crafty souvenirs are often set up just for them when cruisers are shuttled in! What a special way to welcome cruisers and have them experience the Airlie community’s spirit!

So, if you're stopping in at Airlie on one of the many 2022 cruise ships, enjoy an array of eclectic and funky market stalls to welcome you into Airlie! These markets are not always on, so it's an arrive-and-see situation!

Should I Go to the Airlie Beach Market Early?

The market opens as early as 7 AM! So, if you want to avoid huge crowds, pop on over around then to enjoy the tranquillity and coolness of an earlier morning. However, if you want to enjoy a sleep-in, the market is still super enjoyable at its busiest... so whatever island time you're on is fine!

Where Can I Park for the Airlie Beach Market?

The largest parking available nearby is at the Whitsundays Sailing Club. The parking here is paid, so don't forget to pay for it to avoid a fine! The most convenient parking is at the Airlie Beach Foreshore car park on Coconut Grove, where it's paid, nose-in angle parks around the playground and down towards the water.
