Whitsunday Airlie Beach Markets
No matter where you are, there’s nothing better than a vibrant local weekend market. For those enjoying the beautiful Whitsundays on a getaway, visiting the local Whitsunday Lions Airlie Beach Community Markets is one of the best ways to spend a Saturday!
Gracing the streets every Saturday from 7am to 1pm, the Whitsunday Markets showcase the vibrant heart and soul of Airlie Beach. Packed to the brim with amazing stalls that sell local and fresh produce, art, craft, souvenirs, scrumptious food and handmade goodies, there’s something for everyone! Whether you want to buy a keepsake to remind you of your holiday, you’re searching for the perfect gift for a beloved friend or you’re just after a morning of vibrance, make sure you head to the markets!
Where are the Whitsunday markets located?
The markets are perched on Airlie Beach's foreshore (close to the Airlie Beach Hotel on the end of the main street). If you arrive early enough, you might even be able to score yourself a free car park! Alternatively, if you're no-so-lucky, check out where else you can park for free in Airlie. The town does become jam-packed on a Saturday morning so if you do want to escape the crowds, try and head down early (opens at 7am) and grab yourself a coffee to kick-start your day!
What stalls are at the Whitsunday Markets?
The Airlie Beach Community Markets have everything you could expect and more! From camel rides along the beach for all ages to train rides for children (and parents), the markets are a whole lot of fun! The stalls vary but during almost every visit to the markets, you will come across a range of unique stalls. Jewellery, clothing, homemade baked goodies, crafty woods, essential oils, hats, souvenirs, candles, soaps, and coffee are just a few of the stalls to name!
So, after you’ve perused the deep blue and rubbed shoulders with our amazing marine life, make sure you leave a little energy to explore the wonders of the local Whitsunday Lions Airlie Beach Community Markets!
Airlie Beach Markets for Cruise Ships
Not only do the Airlie Beach Markets run on Saturdays, they can run on random days throughout the week. Since the return of cruise ships to the town, the Lions Club decided to set up stalls on the days the cruises are in! It allows the cruise-goers to see what the beautiful town of Airlie has to offer. Plus it's the perfect place to stop and pick up a locally made souvenir or try out some freshly baked goods! To see when the cruise ships are in town, check out the Airlie Beach Cruise Ship Schedule 2024 so you can stay on top of when the markets are on!
