Solway Lass Floating Hotel Activites
Breakfast Kayaking or Lunchtime Kayaking
7:00 am - 8:45 am or 10:00 am - 2:30 pm
Home to serene waters and magnificent natural landscapes, Nara Inlet is best explored by cruising smoothly along the surface by kayak. Wake early and enjoy a breakfast kayak as the Whitsundays come to life or experience the natural beauty with a lunchtime kayak.
Fishing
9:30 am - 1:30 pm
With much of the Whitsunday Islands, a National Park green-zoned for no fishing, a trip to Cid Harbour is the ideal destination for avid fishers to snag a catch! Brimming with Coral Trout, Queenfish, Trevally, and Mackerel, Cid Harbour is the premier fishing destination in the Whitsunday Islands.
Island Walking Tracks
9:30 am - 1:30 pm
With 74 rolling tropical islands, the Whitsundays boasts handfuls of brilliant island walking tracks that behold some of the best panoramic views in the Southern Hemisphere! The Solway Lass Floating Hotel offers walking adventures on both South Molle Island and Long Island, that are well-suited for all ages and fitness levels.
Snorkelling at Northern Hook Island
9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Easily the best way to explore the vast underwater ecosystems of the world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the Solway Lass Explorer day vessel visits some of the best snorkelling sites nestled amongst the northern ends of Hook Island! Discover vibrant soft and hard coral formations, brush shoulders with quirky reef fish and keep your eyes peeled for magnificent reef locals such as Sea Turtles and Maori Wrasse.
Ngaro Cultural Site and Waterfall
9:30 am - 11:30 am (tide dependant)
During your adventures within the Whitsunday Islands on Ngaro Country, there is no better way to learn, reflect, and pay respect to history than by visiting one of the oldest Indigenous sites on Australia’s East Coast, the Ngaro Cultural Site. Situated amongst the Nara Inlet vegetation are ancient Indigenous cave paintings and rock art, that are a short uphill 20-minute walk from the Nara Inlet shore.
Solway Lass and Chill
Following hours of sun-soaked adventure and island-hopping, it’s time to simply unwind from the day-to-day and relax aboard the Whitsundays-only floating hotel! Sunbake on the top deck, read a book in the saloon area or make a splash on the rope swing. Every afternoon Solway Lass hosts a social happy hour for guests to mingle and cheers to the Whitsunday sunset!
Please note these scheduled activities are weather and tidal dependant, hence times may vary. These activities can only be booked 48 hours prior to departure and are subject to availability.
