There are 3 different types of overnight boat trips available. The most popular are crewed overnight trips which includes a skipper and crew and join a group of passengers to share the tour with. The price includes the crew, all meals, activities on the itinerary (excluding diving), snorkelling gear and marine park fees.

Another boat tour option which includes a skipper and crew is to private charter a vessel. Rather than sharing the boat with other guests, your group can charter the entire vessel to yourselves and have a skipper and hostess to do all the work. Almost every overnight sailing vessel on our website is available for private charter.

Alternatively, the Whitsundays also has a number of different bareboat charter companies. A bareboat charter means a group of people charter the entire vessel for themselves and is a skipper-yourself trip (no skipper or crew onboard). This allows freedom to create your own itinerary on your time frame.

Buses/ Coach

All major bus companies including Greyhound and Premier stop at Airlie Beach for scheduled pick up and drop offs. The points are usually located in central Airlie Beach and Proserpine.

Ferries

Cruise Whitsundays is the only ferry service offering island transfers to and from Airlie Beach. If you require a transfer to/from Hamilton Island and Daydream Island Resort and Spa and Airlie Beach, ferries run regularly and stick to the Hamilton Island Airport flight schedule.

Airport Transfers

There are a small number of companies which offer transfers from Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) Airport to Airlie Beach. These are similar in price and offer similar services. The buses meet each plane as it arrives and drops off/ picks up passengers from their preferred accommodation.

Taxi

The Whitsundays offers a taxi service to get to your destination quickly and hassle free. Taxis can be a little more pricey however it is a quick, private transfer around the region.
