New Garden View Rooms - Reef View Hotel
Located in the heart of Hamilton Island, the Reef View Hotel boasts unmatched views of Catseye Beach and offers modern spacious rooms for every group and budget! The 35-metre swimming pool and in-hour Pool Terrace Restaurant creates the ideal atmosphere for families, couples, and groups.
During late 2020, the Reef View Hotel opened its first newly renovated Garden View rooms. Located on Floors 1 - 4, these rooms include a new modern ensuite bathroom, new luxe furniture, and extremely spacious balconies.
New Reef View Lounge
Following the fresh upgrade of the Reef View Hotel’s Main Foyer and Reception area in 2020, the Reef View Lounge has been recently refurbished to suit the hotel’s tropical look and feel. Pre-dinner cocktails have never looked so good!

Hamilton Island Events 2022
Still buzzing from the 2022 Hamilton Island Race Week, Hamilton Island is thrilled to confirm the 2022 Hamilton Island Triathlon and Ocean Swim will return on November 19th and 20th, 2022. The best part? After swimming, biking, and running in the Great Barrier Reef you are your support crew can enjoy some well-earned R&R amongst island bliss!
2022 Hamilton Island Triathlon

Held on Saturday the 19th of November, the 2022 Hamilton Island Triathlon draws in crowds from near and far for a spectacular day of competition and fitness challenges amongst pristine national park landscapes. The event consists of a 750-metre swim at Catseye Beach, a 20km cycle around the southern section of Hamilton Island (encompassing the airport runway), and a 5km run amongst the Hamilton Island marina and resorts.

2022 Hamilton Island Ocean Swim

The fitness fun doesn't stop there! On Sunday the 20th of November, the 2022 Hamilton Island Ocean Swim takes place in the turquoise waters of Catseye Beach. Choose from a 2km or 750m ocean swim, suited for all fitness levels and abilities.
As one of Australia’s most picturesque ocean swims, we don’t blame those who want to take the swim with ease and enjoy the views! Registrations close Tuesday, 1st November 2022.
2022 Hamilton Island Icons Trail
Eager to experience the sites of Hamilton Island’s iconic protected national park? Gather your hiking buddies and join the Hamilton Island Icons Trail this November. Held from the 19th to 20th November 2022, guests can partake in a free hike around the island’s walking trails to find four icons. Dependent on your walking style, the trail can be completed in two hours or two days - it’s in your control!
Prior registrations for the 2022 Hamilton Island Icons Trail are not required, however, Hamilton Island accommodation will need to be booked in advance.
