Whitsunday Writers Festival

There will be creative writing workshops, and on Friday evening we will have a show where guests can mix and mingle with the authors on an intimate basis. Saturday is a full day of talks and joining in panel discussions followed by dinner and a show. Sunday is a half day including lunch. Participants can come just for the day or the full weekend and have intimate conversations with authors and journalists whilst

The 2015 October line up promises a stellar line-up of speakers and already we are pleased and proud to announce that Blanche d'Alpuguet, Jessica Watson, Ryan Campbell and David Reiter will be speaking.

The festival, which covers all writing genres, is also a great community event, with locals flocking to the Whitsunday Marine Club to be inspired and perhaps speak about their own experiences of writing and selling their books.

For the first time, there will also be an art exhibition, courtesy of local Whitsunday artists, and photography and painting workshops for those interested in the visual arts, as well as words  .

With fresh, delicious food, served up throughout the day and a jam-packed social calendar for the evenings, this friendly and welcoming festival is certainly a delight for everyone who loves words - whether that's writing them, reading them, speaking them or listening to them!
