Web Designer - Immediate Start
The Travel Shop is seeking a lead Web Designer, starting immediately!
Location & Contract
Airlie Beach, Whitsundays, Queensland.
Full-time on-site preferred, with options for remote work after probation.
Your Role
- Lead the transition to designing innovative websites
- Collaborate with a dynamic team, in-person and remote
- Improve existing designs including website design, UX, logos, graphics and branding elements (experience in prints ideal)
- Organize creative assets through project management software Asana, updating campaign statuses, turnaround times and allocation of team responsibilities as required
- High level of responsiveness and collaborative work style
Your Profile
- A degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience in Web Graphic Design
- Understanding of responsive web design, UX and UI
- Experience in the travel industry preferred
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Competent multitasker, able to work autonomously and collaboratively on simultaneous creative projects
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and similar design programs
- Strong capabilities in designing logos, banners and infographics
- Works well with developers to convert your designs into code
- A keen interest in dynamic web design
Further Skills (preferred but not essential)
- Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Basic knowledge of Javascript/Typescript or any other front and back-end languages
