Sail on Boomerang, Whitsundays
Avid sailors and those who want to experience a genuine sailing experience can look no further than Boomerang – a 2 day/ 2 night trip on one of the Whitsundays’ very own maxi sailing yachts.
As a maxi yacht, Boomerang’s length extends to 83 feet and is 20 feet wide, providing ample room for the 28 passengers onboard and plenty of space for relaxing, socialising and sunbathing.
All the action happens on the decks with guests having the opportunity to help crew members set the sails to get this gentle giant of the sea to full speed - and as a former ocean racer and competitor of international races, Boomerang has plenty of it.
Below the deck of the larger-than-life vessel is a great saloon area and shared accommodation arrangements for guests who generally are aged between 20-35.
Boomerang’s itinerary is nothing short of fantastic, with around 4 top snorkelling sites to see as well as the chance to undertake a scuba dive – ideal for both beginners and certified divers.
When passengers aren’t exploring the incredible underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Boomerang will stop at the world-famous Whitehaven Beach for a number of hours with time allowed to join in a guided bushwalk to the Hill Inlet Lookout.
Back onboard, the crew will prepare every meal made from fresh produce while guests can enjoy more time socialising with a well-deserved drink on the deck as the sun goes down.
With an action-packed itinerary, fast sailing and plenty of new people to meet, Boomerang is ideal for independent travellers, groups of friends and those wanting to meet like-minded people.
