Across our variety of brands in the Whitsundays, Cairns and K’gari (Fraser Island), our online presence is essential to success! Between images, articles, products, and our social media platforms, we're looking for someone who can understand, analyse, and optimise our content in a way that boosts sales and visibility.
Teamwork is essential in this role! We have lots of different departments from sales to journalists to coders and more. Digital marketing requires communication between all areas of the company to create the most efficient and engaging online presence.
You will have the opportunity to work across our variety of brands in the Whitsundays, Cairns, K’gari (Fraser Island), and East Coast Australia, each of which has its own goals. Your job is to enhance digital marketing across all brands and create a seamless user experience.
We are looking for someone initially based in Airlie Beach so you can work in our downtown office. It's important to have good communication with our local staff so you can bounce ideas off each other and work together as a team. This will also give you more opportunity to engage with local boat owners and tour companies so you can fully understand the dynamic of the area and the goals of The Travel Shop. There is potential to transition into remote work as well!
Your Profile
- Ideally a university degree in marketing
- Ideally 2 years of experience in a marketing or social media agency
- Ideally travel industry experience or own travel blog/social media account
- Strong capabilities in analytical as well as creative thinking
- Strong writing skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English, second language preferred
- Willingness to travel across Australia
Don't have the experience under your belt yet? We are also seeking an entry-level social media marketer with a passion for digital advertising. This position will include social media work, admin and assisting on photoshoots with plenty of opportunity to learn from our senior marketers.
