The Whitsundays is in recovery mode following Cyclone Debbie, which made its way through the Whitsundays 28 March, 2017. Some of the islands and boats were affected, which has in turn affected some preexisting guests who had trips booked in the area. Daydream Island and Hayman Islands are due to be closed until late 2018 for renovations, with Hamilton Island currently undergoing minor renovations and its 5-star resort qualia is closed until July of 2017. While they will be back up and better than ever in no time, this may meaning having to choose a new route for your upcoming vacation. Opting to go for an overnight boat trip is a great option, with a variety of boats and tours available to guests.
