Sunrise comes to Airlie Beach

Sunrise came to Airlie Beach in hopes of sharing one message with the rest of Australia: that the Whitsundays are open and ready for business!

The news show came to Airlie Beach for a Friday morning broadcast after seeing the famous 'Welcome Back’ campaign that was shared and aired all over Australia. Hosts David 'Kochie' Koch and Samantha Armytage talked about how beautiful the Whitsundays are and how important it is for Australians to visit the region. Shannon Noll joined the duo to perform his new single ‘Southern Sky,’ as well as some other hits.

The show also visited Hamilton Island and Bowen, which were both also affected by Cyclone Debbie.
