Queenslanders can save up to $200 on their next Whitsunday holiday with the new Great Queensland Getaway campaign! The Queensland Government has launched an $8 million tourism campaign to boost domestic tourism in regions still facing the economic impacts of COVID-19 restrictions.

Great Queensland Getaway vouchers can be used to discount an array of tourism experiences, flights, bus tickets and accommodation in the Whitsundays, Airlie Beach and the Great Barrier Reef. Island bliss has never been this affordable, so don't miss out on these unbelievable deals!

The 50% off vouchers are expected to stimulate $80 million of business for Queensland tourism as locals are incentivised to explore the wonders of their backyard! And, after the tumultuous year of COVID-19 travel restrictions, there really has never been a better time to take a Queensland Getaway!

Big travel providers such as Virgin Airlines and Greyhound Australia have partnered with the QLD Government to take part in the campaign. Greyhound Australia Marketing and Communications Manager, Michael Leard, described the discounts as “mates rates” for fellow Queenslanders.
