Airlie Beach Race Week 2015
Set in the sailing mecca known as the Whitsundays, Airlie Beach Race Week has become a major event on Australia's offshore sailing calendar.
Offering plenty of exciting and competitive sailing as well as colourful onshore events throughout one big week in August, race week attracts more than 100 sailing boats across its divisions, each year.
The event is known as the 'tropical shirt regatta' which relates to its competitive, yet friendly competition, colourful social events each evening and the relaxed atmosphere and people of the host club, Whitsunday Sailing Club.
The week attracts plenty of attention with its exciting short and long courses which takes boats around the Whitsunday islands as well as the well-known sailing competitors among the entries.
Airlie Beach Race Week is held on week before Hamilton Island Race Week. Entries are now open.
