Superjesus frontwoman, Sarah McLeod, has been announced as the Ambassador of The Airlie Beach Festival of Music, positioning the impressive artist and performer as the face of the milestone anniversary event held in the stunning Whitsundays.

McLeod’s credentials as the forefront of Superjesus, a three-time Aria Award-winning band, and recent solo accolades, have granted her a loyal fan base that is sure to add to the ever-electric atmosphere at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music.

On jumping at the opportunity to be the 2022 Ambassador McLeod stated, “I’m privileged to have played at so many great festivals and I know people love them all for different reasons, but the Airlie Beach Festival of Music is my personal favourite”.

“For me, it’s a rock and roll escape to paradise; you’ve got tropical sunshine, boating, jet-skiing, seafood and live music - I mean what’s not to like!”

“As for the festival itself, it’s completely action-packed, with music pumping from not just the main tent but every pub in town from morning to night."

Festival founder, Gavin Butler, stated that to be working with someone of McLeod’s standing is “next level” and “a fitting tribute” in the face of an entire decade of live music in the Heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Up and coming original bands who will be competing in the Passport to Airlie competition, a unique talent search platform held annually by the Airlie Beach Festival of Music will additionally be judged by the likes of McLeod for the second year in a row.
