"Staff were fantastic providing heaps of great food and lots of information about what we needed to do and could see. Plenty of room above and below decks with separate cabins and rooms for sleeping. All the snorkling, stinger suits and wet weather jackets on board and great opportunity to get involved with some hauling sails. One day of sun and one of misty rain, but we all had a great time. Recommend to others."

"One of the best experiences my friend and I have done in Australia so far. Relaxing on the boat, snorkeling on the reef and sunbathing at Whitehaven Beach make this adventure unforgettable. Shoutout to Alex and Ezra which made the trip even more enjoyable thanks to their expertise and funny stories. Highly recommended!!! Book it!"
Francesca Bandini
"On our two day, one night sailing trip aboard the Waltzing Matilda we got to see the stunning Whitehaven Beach and snorkelled twice. In the evening we were able to lay on the deck and watch the stars and the milky way. The food was delicious and generous. All activities were facilitated very well by the crew of two. The boat itself is over 40 years old and is showing it. It is not as spacious as described either inside or on deck, there were two USB charging points between 14 guests. The supplied stinger suits have seen better days. But, we absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our trip, right up to the end when the owner knocked the gloss off by haranguing us for not using enough sun protection - hopefully he will learn to leave such customer service messages to the professionals!"

"We visited Australia for 2 short weeks and this trip was absolutely one of the highlights. "We had a fantastic two day one night trip on Waltzing Matilda. The food was good and plentiful - they went to a special effort for us as we are vegetarian. The snorkeling spots were very clear and colourful, I actually thought it was far more colourful than some of the snorkelling on the great barrier reef from Cairns. We even saw a turtle! I would highly recommend this trip!"
Annabel
"We did the 2 day / 1 night tour on the Waltzing Matilda and it turned out to be the best trip we did in Oz. Skipper Pete and deckhand Sara were first class. A very relaxed 2 days to sail, snorkel and laze on top of the boat!"

"The experience on Waltzing Matilda vessel was outstanding. The crew were really super helpful, laid back and knowledgeable of the region. Needless to say that the Whitsunday islands are amazing. The crew showed us some amazing reefs for snorkelling and we ended swimming with turtles and seeing amazing marine life."
Anthony
"We went on a sailing trip with the Waltzing Matilda and had the time of our lives! We went swimming at Whitehaven Beach, had a whole afternoon to enjoy the beauty and magic of this place, but also got to snorkel and saw giant turtles! Such an amazing experience! The captain and his assistant are both awesome guys, very young and with a passion for sailing. Totally worth every cent. The fact that there was just 14 people onboard made it a very unique experience and you got to know people well in a quite short period of time! I would always choose them again :)"
Hannah
" I managed to get on this by pure chance and what a great way to see the Whitsundays. Snorkelling was unreal!! Then Whitehaven Beach was nothing short of breathtaking. The food provided was great too. The staff were really accommodating and had a lot of knowledge about the islands. Best money Ive spent in a long time. Highly recommend."
Nic
"Fantastic experience! We had two days and 1 night on board Waltzing Matilda - a small sailing boat that only accommodates 14 guests. Whitehaven Beach was a natural highlight, and so were also the two snorkeling sites we stopped out without any crowds. The skipper had a great sense of humor, food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed."
Aurelian
"Not long enough! Captain Matt and deck-hand Doug were amazing - great jokes, food, knowledge and were helpful with everything. Wish we had more time to stay on the boat but it was still an incredible experience. Snorkelled with turtles and so many different fish, saw eagles and dolphins around the boat and swam in beautifully clear waters. Delicious food on board and visited Whitehaven Beach - gorgeous. And we went to two great snorkel spots with tonnes of amazing coral and sea-life!"
Adam
"If you want relaxation and enjoyment, just step aboard the Waltzing Matilda. It is not a party boat, even though our traveling companions were younger. Our overnight 2 day cruise was perfect, with lots of time at Whitehaven Beach and opportunities to snorkel in two different locations. Captain Chris provided excellent commentary and first mate Doug dished up delicious, healthy meals. We saw dolphins and whales and amazing coral and reef fish. The weather was perfect and we had some sailing. The crew took great care of us, with a good safety briefing and careful instructions. We enjoyed every minute and recommend at least one night on the water rather than a day cruise."
