What is the Whitehaven Beach Club?
The Beach Club is a designated area that is set up on Whitehaven Beach by the Spirit of Whitsundays crew for guests to relax and enjoy beach activities. It is not a permanent building or licensed club.
On the day of your tour, the crew create a comfortable beach base in the sand with temporary shaded areas, along with stand-up paddleboards and beach games that guests are free to use during their time on Whitehaven Beach.
Where can I park on the day?
The closest car park to your designated meeting point is at Port of Airlie Marina. This is a privately owned facility and subject to parking fees and availability.
Does this tour include snorkelling?
Yes! This tour includes a stop for snorkelling.
Your snorkel gear and a stinger suit (season-depending) will be provided on board.
What sort of vessel will we be on?
For this tour, you will be boarding the MV Pinacolada - a sleek, comfortable, and fully-kitted catamaran that can zoom from Airlie Beach to Whitehaven in about 1.5 hours.
Complete with a spacious, sun-soaked upper deck, fully-covered seating areas to protect from all weather conditions, a full-sized toilet facility, and onboard refreshments available for purchase, the MV Pinacolada treats passengers to a speedy, stable, and rapid journey to and from Whitsunday Island.
Is this boat accessible to wheelchair users?
- Access to the vessel is via an 80 cm wide ramp, with steepness depending on tides.
- Crew cannot carry passengers. Wheelchair users must self-transfer or have assistance.
- Marine toilets on board may require assistance due to size limitations.
- If you have mobility or health conditions that may impact safety, you must disclose this at the time of booking.
- Seating on board the vessel is unallocated and follows a "first in, best dressed" policy.
