Can I bring children on On Ice?
Yes! But there is a minimum age of 6 years old.
Can I bring my own alcohol on board On Ice?
You are permitted to bring your own alcohol. Just keep in mind that small glass bottles are not permitted (like beer, cider, pre-mixed spirits).
Where does the boat depart?
On Ice departs from Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach.
Is there a parking facility at the marina?
Yes, Coral Sea Marina has a large carpark where you can leave your car for the duration of your trip (daily rates apply).
Is On Ice air conditioned?
Unfortantely there are no air-conditioners on board, but the cooling seabreeze should do the trick!
Can I smoke on board?
Yes, but only in designated smoking areas.
Does On Ice cater for vegetarian, vegan etc diets?

What if my phone dies? Can I charge my phone on board On Ice?
As there is limited service throughout the Whitsunday Islands, and no Wifi on board, you likely won't need your phone. However, if your phone does happen to die, there are USB charging ports in the cabins and main saloon for you to use.
Are there hot showers onboard On Ice?
There are 4 bathrooms onboard, including 3 ensuites and 1 shared. All have hot showers!
Where can I leave my extra luggage whilst on tour?
There is secure luggage storage at The Travel Shop towards the top of Airlie Main Street, which will cost around $6 for the day.
Is On Ice wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, the layout of On Ice means that it isn't accessible for passengers in wheelchairs. A list of Whitsundays tourrs that are wheelchair accessible can be found here.
Can I come on On Ice if I can't swim?
This is decided on a case-by-case basis, and would need to be discussed at the time of booking
What is the weather like in the Whitsundays?
Weather in the Whitsundays varies drastically depending on which time of year you visit! During the Summer months (December - April), expect hot humid weather with a higher chance of showers. From May - November, it's generally much cooler and less chance of rain!
What activities are included on On Ice?
As well as snorkeling, On Ice has stand up paddleboards, sea scooters, and a glass-bottom canoe available for use!
Do I need to bring my own towel?
Bath towels are provided, but it's recommended to bring your own beach towel!
Is there drinking water available on board On Ice?
Yes, please bring a reusable water bottle with you.
What should I bring with me on tour?
A small soft bag with changes of clothes, swimwear, toiletries, beach towel, re-usable waterbottle, sun protection, a camera and any drinks you may want during the trip! It's also worth bringing slightly warmer clothes for the winter evenings.
How many crew are there onboard?
There are two crew members onboard, a skipper and a host.
Is all snorkelling equipment provided?
Yes, all your snorkel gear as well as other water sports are included.
What shoes are most practical to wear?
Whilst on On Ice, everyone is required to be barefoot on the boat. When doing the bush walk to Hill Inlet, it's definitely worth bringing thongs/sliders/sandals/trainers as it can be quite rough underfoot.
Are there any types of alcohol that are not permitted on board?
Red wine and any type of glass bottle are not permitted onboard.
Which days does On Ice depart?
On Ice departs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
