Where to buy alcohol for my Whitsunday boat trip
Can I bring alcohol on my Whitsundays boat tour?
Many of the overnight boats in the Whitsundays allow passengers to 'Bring Your Own Alcohol' or BYO if the boat does not have a licensed bar on board. This means that you will need to buy any alcohol that you wish to consume on your Whitsundays boat trip prior to boarding your boat. Many boats have restrictions against bringing glass aboard the boat as well as a ban on red wine, so keep that in mind when purchasing your booze.
There are no restrictions on bringing spirits aboard the boats, but the hard liquor will need to be transferred into a plastic or reusable container. Most boats sell selected sodas aboard, which can be used as mixers, but if you are wanting something more specialised, be sure to buy this prior to departing on your boat trip.
