Returning for the tenth year, the highly-anticipated Airlie Beach Festival of Music will hit the stages of Airlie Beach from the 4th to 6th of November 2022!

Taking place over 18 venues, bars and clubs throughout Airlie Beach will feature live music during the day and the headline acts will play on the Whitsunday Sailing Club’s main stage. Set on the sparkling shores of the Whitsundays Coral Sea, tropical paradise never looked so fun!

You heard it, The Animals are hitting the main stage at the 10th Airlie Beach Festival of Music on the 5th of November (Saturday night)! Featuring original members John Steel and Mickey Gallagher alongside Danny Handley and Bobby Ruiz, The Animals are set to play top their greatest hits, including the House Of The Rising Sun, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, Bring It On Home To Me, Don’t Bring Me Down, It’s My Life, and more!

Representing Australian rock royalty, Eskimo Joe is stoked to return to the Whitsundays for a beach party like no other! With 35 ARIA nominations to date, fans from far and wide are set to hit the seaside town of Airlie Beach to enjoy the likes of Black Fingernails, Red Wine, Foreign Land and many more on the 4th of November (Friday night)!

Guitarist Stuart Macleod said, “We can’t wait to play, but also to walk around the town itself, soaking up the good vibes".

Beloved Australian singer-songwriter and activist, Ben Lee's catchy and melodic pop songs such as Catch My Disease and We’re All in this Together have become Australian classics over the years, generating worldwide attention and ARIA awards. Gracing the main stage on the 5th of November (Saturday night), festival-goers can get ready to sing along to the vibrant pop anthems!

Festival-goers can choose to fly, drive, bus, or train from the majority of Australia’s major cities to Airlie Beach. From Brisbane, the most convenient way to get to Airlie Beach is by flying directly to the Whitsunday Coast Airport and then taking a short transfer shuttle to Airlie Beach. Where should I stay in Airlie Beach?

With live music spread across 18 colourful venues throughout the Airlie Beach CBD, we recommend that festival-goers book accommodation within walking distance of Airlie’s Main Street so they can easily access the festival’s main stage and other venues over the long weekend! For visitors with accommodation located outside of Airlie Beach, the Whitsundays mainland offers a reliable taxi and bus service, in addition to many venues offering a complimentary shuttle bus service.

Can I bring my kids?

The Airlie Beach Festival of Music is an 18+ event, with ID required upon entry. Most of the venues hosting the festival performances are licensed bars, clubs and pubs making them a playground for adult-only fun… sorry kids!

Are there bars and food at the festival?

How much are festival tickets?

3-day Airlie Beach Festival of Music passes are $300 per person and include access to all 18 venues across the festival's duration, entry to the Thursday night ‘Passport to Airlie’ final, and entry to the Northerlies afterparty on Monday.

A VIP festival pass is $1000 per person and includes a 3-day festival pass as well as exclusive entry into the VIP main tent area where you can hang out with musicians and sponsors and enjoy your own private bar, seating and toilets. A VIP festival pass also includes a 6-hour food and drinks package daily, where drinks include tap beer and cider, wines and basic spirits and mixers!

Can I buy single-day tickets?

Yes, festival-goers can purchase a single-day Airlie Beach Festival of Music pass! Single-day passes are $140 and include access to all 18 venues on the chosen festival day (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), entry to the Thursday night ‘Passport to Airlie’ final, and entry to the Northerlies afterparty on Monday.
