Whitsundays Seeks Social Media Influencers
The Whitsundays is a natural playground, with 74 tropical islands and home to the world-famous Whitehaven Beach, all tucked into the Great Barrier Reef off the east coast of Australia. At Sailing Whitsundays, we value what our guests’ experiences bring to their network and audience. We are always seeking social media influencers to come and experience everything the Whitsundays has to offer and proudly collaborate with brands that resonate with our own in travel and adventure. Here are a few examples of collaborations with recent influencers in the Whitsundays.
Steph Pacca
@steph_paccaa is a seasoned veteran in the social media world. With almost a million followers on Instagram, Steph has a mass following due to her health and fitness, travel and lifestyle content, and often collaborates with other influencers and brands, similar to her work with Matt Laycock (below) in their recent trip to the Whitsundays. Steph enjoyed a long weekend sailing around the islands, visiting Whitehaven Beach and taking advantage of the peak of the annual humpback whale migration.
Matt Laycock
@matt_laycock is a man with many hats. Founder & Owner of @apexgen, a photographer, an ambassador for @beforeyouspeakcoffee and @bsnaustralia with a fitness and marketing background makes him an all arounder for his almost 100k following. 22-year-old Matt also adventure travels, and tandem skydiving solo is one of his favourite past times. This adrenaline junkie was more than happy to relax on his recent trip up to the Whitsundays though, as he sailed around the islands and hiked to some of the most beautiful scenery in Australia, not to mention the world. His content is some of the more stunning we’ve seen, so we decided we had to have him up for a trip and work with our in house photographer to get some great images in a collaboration with Steph Pacca.
Mitch Cox
@mitch.cox and his partner in crime Cleo recently graced the Whitsundays aboard a trip on Powerplay. Mitch and Cleo run a successful travel blog, foreverelsewhere.com, where you’ll find some amazing imagery showcasing the couple’s travels and life living out of a van. Between Mitch’s photography skills and unique blogging style, he was certainly a welcome guest, sharing images of the stunning turquoise waters of Hill Inlet Lookout and other Whitsunday treasures with his 115k followers on Instagram.
Cleo Codrington
@cleocohen and Mitch Cox hail from Sydney, where they decided they needed to chase the perfect shots of their big backyard, Australia. Inspired by a nomadic lifestyle, they custom-built their van and said goodbye to 9-5 life to adventure around their country. Cleo is a stunning model, and generally the feature of most of their Instagram pics. Providing value as well as travel inspiration to her 143k followers on Instagram, she also sells custom Australian travel itineraries on the side. Cleo and Mitch worked with our in house photographer and videographer to collaborate for some incredible content during their time with us.
Fabian Arnold
@fabianxarnold is a German influencer with a half a million followers on Instagram. Primarily a model, Fabian is also a fitness junkie and lifestyle blogger, documenting his personal journey of becoming a better person through mental development. Fabian came to the Whitsundays looking for an amazing trip and got more than he bargained for when we offered to take him out to see the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach aboard Broomstick, for an epic maxi yachting experience in paradise.
Emily Radley
emilyraddles is an Australian influencer, yachtie and personal trainer, who has amassed over 50k followers on Instagram documenting her travels around the world whilst working, in addition to multiple high profile brand collaborations. Her extraordinary content posted from many of the world's most iconic landscapes meant that her style perfectly fits the stunning backdrops of our backyard in the Whitsundays. Emily recently came out with us on an overnight shoot on Waltzing Matilda and a day trip on Whitsunday Bullet!
Esther Gomez
iesthereslla is a Spanish influencer and musician based in Sydney. Having travelled globally, she has amassed a following of nearly 150k followers following shoots in some of the world's most beautiful destinations, along with collaborations and partnerships along with a following on Spotify and Youtube. Her content perfectly fits the aesthetic of the Whitsundays, having done shoots in Ibiza and many other stunning Mediterranean destinations. Esther recently joined us on a shoot on the private charter Salty, as well as a sunset sail on Banjo Patterson.
