Will I get a window seat?
All seats on the flight are against a window, so yes, you're guaranteed a window seat!
What airport do I go to?
The flight departs from Whitsunday Airport* which is a 5-minute drive from Airlie Beach.
*Not to be confused with the Whitsunday Coast Airport in Proserpine.
Are pick-ups available?
If you need to be picked up, there are two pick-up locations in Airlie Beach. The first one is at the Travel Shack, located between Airlie Beach Main Street and Waterson Way, just after Woolies. The second is at the Cruise Whitsunday bus stop at the Port of Airlie.
Please ensure you are there 40 minutes before your flight time.
Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend bringing your camera or phone to take photos! Besides that, just bring yourself!
Can my children do a scenic flight?
Yes, the scenic flight is all ages. Just note that infants under 3 years will have to sit on a parent's lap (with an infant seat belt and headphones provided).
Is there parking at the airport?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking available at the airport if you wish to drive.
Is there a toilet on board?
There are no toilets on board so we recommend using the bathroom at the airport prior to your 60-minute flight.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The scenic flight is weather dependant and you will be contacted prior to departure if the weather is deemed unsafe. You will be able to rebook your flight on a different day or time.
Will I get motion sick?
If you are prone to motion sickness then we recommend taking the precautionary medicine before you fly. However, the pilots are there to ensure you have a smooth and comfortable flight. There are sick bags provided if needed.
Is it worth going even if it's cloudy?
Yes definitely! There is plenty to see on a cloudy day as the plane will fly under the clouds so that you will still see the reef and islands!
