"This was a perfect, relaxing way to explore the area. The crew were fantastic and provided a lot of information about the ship's history and sea life. The chocolate cake was fantastic and there was a great lunch with more than enough for everyone and plenty of tea and coffee during the day. They took us to some great snorkel spots and we had a total of 2 hours snorkel time. Wetsuits were also provided which was very useful! There was also factor 50 suncream on board for everyone to use. Would definitely recommend this trip to everyone!"
"Great boat with rich 75 year history, great authentic sailing, great snorkelling spots near Hook island, deserted beach, good food, great crew... a fantastic day for our family."
"We had a great day out on the Derwent hunter, they gave us lots of information about the area and the great history of the ship. We had lots of snorkelling time and plenty of tea/coffee available with biscuits and cake. Just what you need to keep the energy levels up. The lunch spread was also excellent with more than enough for everyone. It's a very relaxing time on the boat as it cruises quietly through the beautiful waters, and you can try your hand at hoisting up the sails. This company also volunteers a lot of there time to surveying the coral reef to help keep it alive which is very important. We loved this day trip and would recommend it to anybody. If your only in the area for a short time. Do this trip, you will not be disappointed."
"We really enjoyed our day out on the Derwent Hunter! The tour was personal and we were lucky to have a small group. The crew were very helpful and professional and funny. The vessel is one of a kind and so worth it if you like sailing. This tour is in my eyes more personalised than others and takes you to the best reefs of Bali Hai and Langford Reef. Not all tour operators have access to Bali Hai so if you are into snorkelling and like to see the cool stuff, definitely choose these guys."
"Fabulous day sailing and snorkelling with a knowledgeable crew! Great history of a wonderful sail boat. It was so special to see the reef this way. "
"Me and my friend had a fabulous voyage on board the vintage Derwent Hunter. The boat itself has loads of character and history which was very interesting to find out about! We were made to feel very welcome by all staff on board who looked after us all day, they were all passionate and knowledgeable about the boat and reef! Relaxing and refreshing a perfect way to spend a Sunday! A must do in the Whitsundays! "
"We had a fantastic day saw plenty of fish and enjoyed the awesome lunch and the crew were great and easily approachable! Recommend this trip for people looking for a trip that is a bit different with a reasonable amount of people and plenty of time for snorkelling."
"Wow we got to sail on a Tallship! What an experience. Not 1 but 2 snorkelling adventures. Staff were friendly and passionate about the reef and environment and passed on their knowledge of the reef and surrounds. I have left with a true understanding of the fragile environment of the Great Barrier Reef and a new favourite destination. Thank you Derwent Hunter!"
"Was lovely. The crew did amazing to get the weather so perfect and organised all the dolphins and Turtles. Is a beautiful ship, and even the history lesson and fish knowledge was interesting. Again thank you to the team. Fantastic day all round."
