The Half Day Great Barrier Reef Tour is a great way to explore one of the natural wonders of the world. This is a great tour for those who are short on time, but still want to experience it all, taking only a half day! Your tour will start bright and early to venture to our pontoon that is located 40 nautical miles offshore, where you will get to spend a morning on the beautiful Hardy Reef. From here you can snorkel, scuba dive, swim and relax, taking the time to enjoy some of our many activities.

During this half day trip, guests will be able to enjoy the Outer Great Barrier Reef, taking the opportunity to explore the reefs up close, checking out the fish, corals and other marine life! Snorkelling equipment is provided so you can enjoy the water with ease, ensuring all you need to do is bring your sense of adventure! With stunning and diverse corals, big tropical fish, sea turtles and other amazing marine life, you will have the experience of a lifetime on your half day tour.
While on board the pontoon you can also enjoy the optional extras to give your day a little extra flavour! We have an underwater observatory where you can go beneath the surface of the ocean and see the marine life up close! This is a great chance to enjoy a relaxing view of the reefs without getting wet! Bring along the kids and show them the underwater world from a comfortable environment where you can watch the fish and snorkellers swim by!
For another underwater point of view, hop onto our semi submersible. This unique boat will allow you to feel like you're swimming among the fish as you make your way around, sitting below the waterline! Your captain and guide will take you around the reefs with ease, giving you a unique and amazing experience down among the reefs.
You can scuba dive off the pontoon and explore the Great Barrier Reef at its best. The optional extra is available to both introductory and certified divers, allowing for a new, exciting experience for all levels of divers! Scuba diving offers a more extensive way to see the reef as you get to explore far beneath the waves, seeing its corals and marine life up close.
Guided snorkel tours
The guided snorkel tours are a great way to understand all the sights you are seeing as you embark on a Reef Safari. Your guide will explain all the beautiful things there are to discover on the reef, pointing out all the amazing animals and corals you encounter, while keeping an eye out for the best sights.
Our onboard photographer will capture those hard to get shots, allowing you to relive your days on the Great Barrier Reef over and over again! You can purchase your photos at the end of the tour to walk away with snapshots that will last a lifetime.

- Scuba diving is also available to purchase on board for certified or introductory divers, is subject to medical conditions and age restrictions. Please note due to time restrictions, there is only time for one dive during this tour.

Terms and Conditions
All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the tour operator. It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. Also please note is select swag accommodation this is a camping experience so sleeping on deck open to the elements and weather. Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 2.5% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.
All client cancellations forfeit 25% of total ticket price and all client cancellations made less than 7 days prior to departure will result in complete forfeiture of the full price of the tour. If the tour operator has to cancel the trip (prior to the departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.
