By leaving your luggage with The Travel Shop you accept the terms and conditions set out in the below storage contract. Please read the below agreement carefully before choosing to store luggage at The Travel Shop.

Luggage storage is open seven days per week only at specific times. Please take note of the times on the card receipt supplied at check-in. There will be no access to The Travel Shop beyond the regular opening/closing times of the premises, generally outside of 9 am - 6 pm daily. 

If for some reason you desperately need to get your bag outside of these times, you can call 0499 101 346 or +61 74914 2425. However, a callout fee of $50 will incur. 

1. It is prohibited by law to store hazardous items or items that can cause harm to humans (please visit safe work website for a full list of items)
2. No illegal drugs, alcohol, plants, animals, fragile objects, or perishable foods are to be stored.
3. The weight limit for each luggage is 30kg. We have the right to refuse an item of luggage if it is over this limit as it can be a safety hazard.
4. The customer is responsible for ensuring that his/her luggage is locked, zipped and secured prior to storage.
5. Staff members are allowed into the secured luggage room. No customer has the right to attempt to enter the room and collect their luggage themselves.
6. The customer agrees the right for staff or a government official to inspect and open any luggage that is on our premises for security reasons.
7. The customer is liable for any damage caused to other customers luggage.
8. The customer is responsible for the luggage check in and check out times. If the customer does not collect their luggage within the agreed times, then we will hold the luggage until the storage re-opens and charge an additional rental fee of $7 per day.
9. If luggage is left in storage for additional days on top of what has been paid for, it will not be released until those additional days have been paid out.
10. If out of office hours emergency collection of luggage is required, it will require a $50 call out fee.
11. If the customer believe an item is missing from their luggage during the time it was stored at, then we will hold $100 deposit and check the security cameras for the full duration of their trip. If there has been suspicious action then we will return the $100 and offer a full investigation. If the cameras show there hasn't been any tampering of the luggage then will keep the $100 admin fee (this is to avoid false claims). Total time to view footage for 2 days takes approximately 25minutes and requires 2 staff members by law.
12. If we are found liable for loss of belongings on the premises, insurance offers up to a maximum value of AUS $500. Proof of individual's items must be proved by the customer before a claim can be made. We do not recommend leaving expensive items in storage. 
13. If there is an incident that we are not liable for (flood, fire, cyclone), please ensure you have personal insurance to cover the loss of your belongings. 
14. False claims will be reported to the police as insurance fraud is a serious offence in Australia.
15. If a customer loses their card receipt with the number of the bag on it then we charge $25 to search and find their missing luggage.
16. If a customer forgets their luggage or needs any item to be sent there is a $50 admin and handling fee plus postal charges.
17. If a customer forgets or leaves an item they do not want then it will be destroyed after 7 days.

I accept all the above "terms and conditions" and will sign the paperwork provided on-site.

Your Responsibilities:

You must drop off and pick off your luggage between the specified times.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details are correct.

Prices/Extra Costs:

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply. 

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.

Travel Risk/Insurance:

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Merchant Fees:

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

Terms and Conditions (including the Cancellation Policy) are subject to change. The most recent versions can be found online on the relevant product pages. 

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.

Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees.

You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

Client Cancellations:

No shows or client cancellations made within 48 hours to storage forfeit 100% of the total ticket price. 

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to admin@mr-travel.com. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.

Supplier Cancellations:

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Products may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the activity and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

In the unlikely event of storage being cancelled, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Mr Travel online department.

Refunds:

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the product to another product or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.

Accountability/Misconduct:

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based off of feedback from other Service Operators.

Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.
