Daydream Island
Your first stop of the day is the newly renovated Daydream Island, which is just a short cruise from Airlie Beach. This small yet fun island is a great place to rest, relax and explore, offering plenty to do during your time here. Guests can enjoy the use of all the pools on Daydream Island, taking time to soak in the sun and enjoy the ocean views offers from the poolside. You can also venture to their most unique attraction - the Living Reef! This coral lagoon is a miniature Great Barrier Reef and is home to colourful corals, tropical fish, sea stars, crabs, rays and more. This is a great chance to stop and marvel at the many marine species up close, before heading out for your second destination of the day.

Hamilton Island
Sit back and relax for the 30-minute cruise to Hamtilon Island that will give you amazing views of the Whitsunday Islands and surrounding Coral Sea. Once you arrive, you will get to enjoy a delicious lunch at Marina Tavern which offers great views of the marina and a cool laid back atmosphere. Spend the rest of your time exploring the island, taking the opportunity to cool off in the resort pool or hang out beneath a palm tree! Visitors to the island should also check out Catseye Beach where they can snorkel or swim above the shallow reefs. Make sure you catch the Island Shuttle bus to One Tree Hill and see for yourself the incredible views of the Whitsunday Islands!

"A great way to explore both Daydream and Hamilton Islands for the first time. At check in you are given your ferry passes, lunch voucher and a small info booklet about Daydream Island. From there you are pretty much on your own, although staff did appear to be quite approachable if you had any questions. All ferry rides were punctual and hassle free. Once dropped at each of the Islands you are left to explore. I didn't realise that there was a Cruise Whitsundays Information Office at the marina at Hamilton Island which would have been very useful. (I'm sure it was mentioned in the brochure but I overlooked it). A few tips that may be helpful: At Daydream the Rainforest walk is short but is steep in parts and has some quite high steps. There are some lovely views along the way. Do go to Lover's Cove, it's beautiful but like all the beaches on Daydream, it is not sandy, rather more shell and coral-like, so a bit sharp underfoot. At Hamilton, expect a much larger, more touristy island. There are free shuttle buses but another popular mode of transport is the Golf Buggy. If you want to hire one of these make sure you do so early because by 2pm there were no more available and we missed out :( And it wasn't even peak season. Apparently you can pre-book these. This Day Cruise is a good way to get a 'feel' for each of the Islands if you were considering a longer stay at some point."
