If you are after a personal, relaxed and unique experience away from the crowds? Ise Pearl is the perfect choice!
Not only does Ise Pearl offer a truly unique journey with its special crew, interesting itinerary and low passenger numbers. The vessel itself comes from an unparalleled background as a former Japanese pearler, and it brings a special story with it as the only one of its kind among Whitsunday boats. The special gaff rigged traditional ketch was discovered by skipper "Sparrow" who has retained the shined brass and breathtaking polished timbers. As one of very few vessels which takes just 8 passengers, this is the holiday which you can enjoy with your family and friends and make memories to last a lifetime.

Ise Pearl was named after the Japanese pearling town Ise, famous for the cultured pearl industry. It is a gaff rigged topsail ketch, built in 1956 by Charlie Crowley to a design by Norman Write in Brisbane. She was worked and owned by Japanese pearlers for 38 years in the Torres Strait before Warren "Sparrow" Burton discovered the vessels beauty and its potential.
Sparrow has spent most of his life at sea and is a fully qualified traditional wooden boat builder. Now, Ise Pearl is to near perfection and everything onboard has been skilfully crafted to the classic beauty of a bygone era in Australian maritime history. She exudes the feeling of strength, nostalgia and romance. Ise still to this day has pearl shells wedged between her timbers. Known to be the 'most well-looked after vessel' on the East Coast, Ise Pearl continues to take lucky passengers around the Whitsundays most special locations, including Whitehaven beach and the best snorkelling locations around the islands.
First mate Machi will look after you and creates fabulous meals for everyone using fresh local produce. Passengers are welcome to help and join in with the sailing and experience the charm of what sailing used to be like. Guests can help raise the sails, have a go at the helm or just sit back and relax and take in the stunning views.
Ise Pearl's beautiful lines have not escaped the keen eye of movie producers both in Australia and overseas. She featured as the main boat in Warner Brothers production of "Tales of the South Seas" which was filmed in the Whitsunday Islands, as well as many episodes of "Flipper" and several commercials including Australia's newest tourism ad.
