Wednesday Sailing in the Whitsundays

Those who are interested in going sailing in the Whitsundays, are welcome to head to the Whitsunday Sailing Club each Wednesday afternoon and meet the crew of the vessels participating in the weekly twilight sailing race.
This race is a social event, run by the sailing club, with up to 20 sailing boats racing around markers in Pioneer Bay, Airlie Beach.
Some vessels may need extra crew or have space for visitors to join them in the race, so head to the club at around 3:00pm and ask around.
This is a great way to experience real sailing in the Whitsundays and meet some great people along the way.
After the race, head back to the Whitsunday Sailing Club for a great-value buffet night and presentations.
