International Flights to the Whitsundays

The Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) Airport is set to deliver international flights, with the first destination proposed to be New Zealand in 2016.

Certainly a huge announcement for the region, an international airport will open up the tourist destination to a wider direct market, and would eventually include Asia and beyond.

At this stage the development is going through a number of stages to establish the airport as an international airport, as well as finding appropriate carriers.

At this stage, Whitsunday Coast Airport delivers Jetstar and Virgin Australia flights daily.
